back in 1977. Skip the shorter versions of the Star Wars medley on this CD and listen to the long version. Good times, great memories. This is how I was actually introduced to Star Wars in the first place, so this recording will always have a special place in my heart. Also, the drum-filled track is quite cool too. I remember fist hearing this album (yes, vinyl).
Highly Recommend. It is my all around favorite and certainly worth the price. I recently used this CD as the primary music played during a Star Wars Themed Birthday party for my 7 year old (age could have been 17 or 70.this CD will still be equally enjoyed). We played it continuously during Jedi Knight/Princess Leia obstacle course, Pod races, Capture the planet of Naboo, and Balloon Light Saber Battles.
Love the Star Wars themes, music.and in 1977 danceable was good and it still is, LOL
any self respecting star wars fan should have this album or cd in their collection. then, about three years ago, my mother found a brand new record player at a local k-mart store and star wars was the first album we all played. and youknow what. it's really fun and danceable. 30 freaking years and it still sounds great. i was 10 years old when star wars was released in theatres.
it was the best album i ever had. when we (my frienxs, sister and i) were kids, we used to act out the various scenes from the movie as the music played--just by hearing the sound effects on the record. and knowing that i was a big afan, my mother bought me this album. i didn't hear it for many years because my record players had all broken. even if you're younger than we were (i'm now 40), you will still enjoy this music. i loved it.
i still have it.
The music of Star Wars has been always popular. This CD definitely catches the era of Star Wars and victory which can also relate to human history.
